is the elite hackable for like firmwares and stuff, i'm not really in with the xbox sceen so dunno bout all the firmwares and sutff just woundered if it was possible?




i think i have the hitchi drive it looks like that any how

Yes, it can be flashed with iXtreme firmware. But be warned... chances are 99% that you've got the Hitachi 79 fl/fk. And to flash that drive, you first have to install a mod chip. Once installed the drive can then be flashed.

how would i know/ find out what the drive is without taking the xbox apart since i've only had it like a week and i don't wanna end up breaking it

If you've only had it a week, and the tray looks like the Hitachi in the pic in your first post, then you have the Hitachi 79. There was only a handful of Hitachi 78's (don't need mod chip for those) released in the Elite's at launch in the US.

So... if you just got it, it's the 79. And to answer your question, the only way to know which firmware is on ANY drive in ANY 360 would be to open it. It'd say on that label on top of the drive.

yep you got the v79 HITACHI.... Some of the Elites have the BENQ in em... but the majority have the v79 Hitachi...

here is a 360 drive database incase you wanna return it.. Try and
get the BENQ drive... as you will be able to flash it within the next couple weeks... use the LOT# on the box to match it up...
