Im thinking about getting one
But I've heard a lot of bad things about this

had mine 3 years, no red lights, i think it depends on where it is and how much you play, obv if u play all day and all night with it crammed in a corner it will die. But sit it in a well aired area and your golden, i play mine constant and even more now that halo 3 has come out. Plus it has well better games like gears of war and halo 3, the 2 best sellin games and they both rock. PLus the xbox 360 is moddable if u ever wanna flash it

it has it's problems. There is no doubt about it. The RROD problems is a pretty big one and even people who take care of their systems have had it happen multiple times. I know people in the gaming clan i am a member of who have had the RROD 2-3 and even on a few occasions 5 times already in about the span of a year.

MS knows the problems is there which is why they extended the warranty on the RROD problem only to 3 years from time of purchase.
I know quite a few people who had the RROD problem, sent it to MS, received their "NEW" (refurbished actually) Xbox 360 only to have the RROD again within 1-2 weeks.


Now me personally have not had a problem with mine in about a year now (crossing fingers). And i do not regret for a second buying the system as the game line up that they have is great and keeps getting better every month. So i say if you want one then buy one. If you have the RROD problem it will be an inconvenience as far as your time but MS will have to fix it free for 3 years.
