Any reason to go from 3.52 M33-4 to 3.71 M33-2 + 1.50 ADD ON-2?

I made a topic about ISOs not working earlier and was suggested to upgrade to 3.52 M33-4 then 3.71 M33-2 + 1.50 ADD ON-2.
What reasons are there to upgrade from 3.52 to 3.71+1.50Add On?
Is there anything that 3.52 has that 3.71 doesn't have?
Do XMB icons work in 3.71?

well... if you're looking for the most customisable CFW, i recommend you stick to 3.52 M33(-4) considering there's loads of icons and themes everywhere for you to play about with, 3.71 M33 doesn't offer anything more really apart from the fact that in a few months you might need it to power up new games (but that's only in a couple of months....)

however, a lot of people prefer to have the latest versions.... just to make sure they can run any game that comes out and people have found ways to make 3.71 M33 just as customisable as 3.52 M33...

if you want my opinion, stick to 3.52 M33 ^_^

never had a problem yet with iso's using 3.71-2. I think a lot of problems are down to memory cards

you can put themes on 3.71 m33 all you want and nothing will happen

i've learned to live with the customisation, but i still stick to my opinion that 3.52 M33-4 is the most customisable firmware, as they've managed to changed the entire format and layout (shell) of the XMB using those themes, no .ptf offers that as of yet, personally i'd prefer to have the latest firmware and slightly less theme add-on changes, than more customisation and less ability to play recently released games ^_^

(the only thing that has changed my mind now is the 3.71 M33-2 and 1.50 kernal-2 add-on)

I am glad I upgraded to cfw 3.71 because you can scene skip in movies you are watching. Also soon customized themes for 3.71 will eclipse 3.52, its just the way things work.

exactly the way everything works ^_^ funnily enough, sony got the idea from someone sending back a psp which had no problems with it (believing it to be bricked) revealing the capabilities of the CXMB EBOOT.PBP program.. by opening it up...

it's almost as if Sony are competeting with the hackers ^_^ remarkable how much power Dark Alex and Team C & D have....

3.71 M33 will eventually have the potential to use more advanced XMB menus, however not for a month or two ^_^ everything has to be waited for.. still the result will be phenominal
