Funny noice when playing metroid.

When i play metroid and it starts loading, It makes this funny noise like it's trying to read the disk but it skips or something. like a zing zing zing zing zing noise. The game plays perfectly fine, and the noise kind of fits the metroid theme, but i'm just wondering if it's normal.?
