Hi, I'm completely PSP illiterate. I'm trying to get Pokemon on my PSP, but I have System Software Version 2.71. I'm Pretty sure I need to upgrade it to version 3.60 but I've yet to find anything that says upgrade from 2.71 to 3.60. Any help would be greatly appreachiated thanks.

is there even pokemon for the psp?

well, you can downgrade your psp easily because you have 2.71. go HERE and look for the 2.71 downgrade.

you will have to know which motherboard you have. you can check by opening the umd bay and look for "IC1003" written in the upper right corner. if the writing is there, then you have the ta-082 motherboard.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd

wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

you have to download the files first. the folders that are needed are in the download.

the download link in the guide you posted is down. go to the link i posted back up and go to the 2.71 (ta-082) section, and download those files.

if you follow the 2.71 (ta-082) guide in the link i provided at the top post, you don't even need the idstoragechange. it has 8 simple steps, and the neccesary files needed.

turn on the psp, and press the brightness button. the ta-08x motherboards will have a dark screen when downgraded. mine did when i downgraded from 3.51 to 1.50.

if it is bricked, then yes, pandora's battery will make it work again. but you will have to make the battery with a custom firmware psp, physically mod the battery, or buy the datel tool battery.

there are people who can unbrick your psp, or create pandora's battery/magic memory stick for you. you just have to provide the neccessary items or send in your psp. some actually meet in person

go HERE and HERE to look for someone near you.
