hey everyone i need help connecting to the internet.. i got dsl.. and i got linksys router.. when i go to network settings and name my connection and scan it.. i get linksys.. but i cannot press it... it and the security says not supported.. i am using the linksys to share the dsl on 2 computers.. any help would be apreciated

On your wireless modem what security is enabled eg. WEP, WPA, No security?
When you search for your modem on your PSP what does it say about the router security settings?
Try going to networ settings, dont type in anything, just click scan and select your modem, this should say what security settings are enabled on it

Select that modem and try to connect to it
Tip: People can steal your internet if you have no security enabled, I advise turning it on

On PSP select Scan. It will show your modem, press X on it. Click -> -> -> all the way to the end where it says save settings. Press X. It will then say test connection. Press X. If it says at the bottom connection: Successful your PSP is ready to use wifi so click on internet explorer and go onto the internet

ok.. hold on i got something...im went on my proset wireless thingy on ma computer and click on linksys properties and i see personal security.. wpa2(aes) and then there is a password.. i kno the password.. so i put it on my psp.. but is di samething

Use same instructions as i gave you but it will ask you to enter the WPA password then carry on and test connection

dats wat im trying to say.. when i scan.. even when i put ma password... i get signal strength 100% and ssid linksys.. but security says not supported and everythin is in grey writing... and i cant click anythin..

Try changing security settings to WEP or standard WPA (WPA Prefered)

u kno when i change any settings on ma computer dat i concerning di linyksys.. my computer internet goes off... i waanna use my computer internet plus the psp...i just change it to wpa and my internet went off.. so i put it back to the 1 i had b4

Once you have changed security options on router reconnect to wireless modem on PC and enter new pw and security options, then you have wireless back on your PC.
Then put in options onto PSP and try internet on there

omg.. dat sounds hard.. i did not set up my wireless router.. it was ma cousin.. so i dont kno how to change anythin..damm..im a noob..i dont wanna bother u no more.. i guess ill b without internet on ma psp..lol..thnx 4 helpin...

hes gone to england.. and he wont come back again.. and i dont wanna do anythin to my router.. and then i cant fix it back.. and i wil be without internet..lol.. but yeah. thnx for helpin..

You shouldnt need to write that, just select the modem, if you cant select the modem you will need to change security settings on it
