Downgrade 2.00 or 3.50 to 1.50?

My friend has a psp that has 2.00, and he would like to downgrade it to 1.50. I haven't done it, but there are so many different ways out there, it seems confusing. I just recently downgraded my 3.40 by doing the lumines downgrade. Tell me, since i have done the lumines downgrade, should i go that route? Is there any difference from going to 2.00 to 3.50 to 1.50 than going from 2.00 to 1.50? Again i would like to do the lumines downgrade since i have done it before. What does everyone think? If you think it is 2.00 is the way to go, do you have a link to a guide and downloads that work? I checked out Ultimate downgrader guide from the link above, and i don't know if those dowloads are still valid. Just wanted to get everyones thoughts....

Go to 3.50 and downgrade, where you downgrade from or upgrade to really has no effect on your PSP, so go the way where you know what you're doing :)
