Please allow me to preface this by saying I am of a very basic knowledge level, so if you're going to help, please dumb it down as much as you can. I will appreciate any help you can give.

I have a WiiKey. As far as I know I have the latest updates.

I also have the latest update for my Wii.

Metroid Prime 3 gives me that terrible "?" Can't read disk B.S.

I have made many back-ups in the past with no problems.

I am a MAC user.

Tell me what media your using. Are you using Verbatims DVD-R? tell me the burning software your using. I always use IMG burn, and so does most of the population here.

Well, i'm using this name-less plain white dvd-r, the only markings is 4X.

I'm using disk utility to burn it.

Have successfully burned at least 5 back-ups in the same way.
