PSP Phat and Slim Buttons Question

I have a question about the functionality of the Cross and Circle button on my Slim.

I have a PSP-1000 Made in Japan that I bought in a Hong Kong. I'm not sure if it applies on all PSP's but the O = Enter and X = Back.

Now I have a Daxter Bundle Pack PSP-2001. Originally the X = Enter and O = Back, but now its been reversed since I updated to 3.71 M33-2.

I was wondering if it was the CFW that changed it, or something to do with the Pandora's battery I used that I made from my PSP-1000, hearing how the battery itself carries over some files or what-the-hell-ever comes along with it. Or maybe its the MS?

Anyone know if this can be changed? No much of a problem though really, playing the phat got me used to X and O's original functions. Its a little annoying sometimes when some games uses this and other games used that.

go into recovery mode by cold booting your psp and holding the top right button. Go down to registry hacks and you will find Button assign. Press on that and it will toggle between o or x as enter....
