xdvdmulleter error when loading iso

when trying to load iso from fresh backup of COD3 i receive this error
iso loading failed: xex file without xex2 magic
i used wxripper and the swap trick i recived all done on all lines in wxripper...
can anyone help

no, actually i would spin the disk...stop disk, swap to game, then find magic number....so it looks like is was doing it a little backwards. i will do this method and try again when i return home.
also looking at this tutorial, u are using ssmerger, and the link for the ss.bin files is not working is there another link?
and doesnt the game have to be stealth to play...i thought u also need the pfi/dmi files injected to be fully patched and be fully stealth?
im using c4eva_ixtrem_1.2_stealth on a hitachi 0047 and from what ive heard/seen you have to fully patch games with ss/pfi/dmi files...is this correct and if so could you help me on how to inject these files to make fully stealth backups

yes you need all of the stealth..
you can use Xdvdmulleter to extract and inject the ss,pfi and dmi files with that program...
so if you can get the iso period you will be cool.

im sorry for the questions, im a noob when it comes to the 360 scene,
but to get a full stealth backup, i would hotswap using wxripper, then use xdvdmulleter to extract the ss/dmi/pfi files then copy game using wxripper, after copying, inject the stealth files in wxripper?
if incorrect could you help with the correct way to pull/inject stealth files using the swap method?
also heard of people getting stealth files from internet, will this also work?

how come some tutorials say to "look for the magic number" after swapping the dvd to your x360game.....why look for magic number when the DVD is in drive, also that would mean that the same layout file would be used everytime....correct?

i followed the tutorial exactally and got device i/o errors
also i did follow textbook pdf if running into errors, to take sector error, stop the sector and make a new dummy sector with the remaining sectors
example : 1000 sectors, error on sector499, i would edit the layoutfile from
C1000
to
C499
D501
and would copy fine, no errors in wxripper.
now i take the backup and try to load it in Xdvdmulleter, and i get the xex without xex2 magic.....
so i change my layout file, to another one i found on the web

this was the exact layout i used and copied sucessfully in WXRipper,
but when trying to load backup into xdvdmulleter i recived the xex without xex2 magic that i described in my 1st post....can anyone help?

i understand totally...
now xdvdm and XBC and schrom will be the 3 main progs to backup / stealth patch checks and insertion correct....
when this sammy comes in i belive ill have the wohle thing into a 5 step process.....does this sound right?
