So same problem, config discs load, can change settings, but wii game backups dont work and my wii drive makes a horrible grinding sound at 6x and errors out, at 3x it spins and ont read discs, any suggestions? I have 3.0u with 1.9b and 1.3 cnfig loaded
dunno what to tell you about the noise...but my biggest problem was that dvd+rs dont work. be sure to use dvd-r disks, and make sure you set your wiikey to region free.

Since the config discs load have tried a gamecube game?? Also it might your wii backups. Have you tried a couple of different ones?? That was part of the trouble I had rawdump didn't make the iso for the backup correctly. Do originals work?? That grinding sound is odd. Mine did that once when it was trying to read the disc but I ejected the disc and reset the Wii and hasn't happened since.
