So, I just got the PS eye, along with eye of judgement, and I tried out the camera on my pc.. you know, to use as a webcam. and well, windows recognizes that its a USB camera, but wont let me use it as a webcam, but condsidering it is recognized, its crackable right? also, if someone has found a way to use the ps eye on pc, let me know :)

a little off subject, whats the PS eye like? i hear the quality isnt as good as the eyeToy?

looks pretty good to me. I never owned the eyetoy though. so I cant really compare.

I think logitech makes the ps3's cameras. Try installing it using quickcam or a similar model's drivers. Im not sure how u'd get the directional mic working though.

The frame rate of the camera is higher. It doesn't lag during video chat like the eyetoy does.

Someone will bring a driver out for the new PS eye so it will be able to work on the pc.
Its not high definition but the quality is quite good and of course its better than the eyetoy.
