I want to know more about modding my 360 for pirated games, I read the faq but because of my lack of knowledge, I don't know what the fuck anything means. Will my 360 automatically accept the games that are burned with that other stickied method, or do I need updated firmware, how do I get it?

Basically I want all the information I need to know how to get my 360 playing burned games but also able to be playable online. Prices too, if it's not free.

I'd do that if I knew what I was searching for, again I don't know if I can just burn, need firmware or whatever. Every keyword I can search for makes me think that I might be missing out on the better way, that's why I asked what my options are and what's going on.

Well to play back ups you will need the following:

- A 360
- Motherboard with capable chipset to flash DVD drive.
- The hacked firmware.
- USB drive, floppy disc or disc to boot from.
- Dual layer DVD burner to burn games.
- Dual layer discs.

If you aren't very good with computers you can -
1) Do a large amount of reading and learn what to do.
2) Get someone else to do it for you.

That might help, but searching like the other guys said is really the best way.

that is most peoples problem that older members do not seem to understand. If you do not know the terminology to search for your not going to get anywhere by searching. Now i agree that some questions are just too easy not to find in a search, but others you could at least try and give some advice on.

ok here is the basics that will give you what you need to search for the rest:

1. Best DVD to use = Verbatim DVD+R DL (2.4X to 6X speed)
2. Firmware you use will depend on which DVD drive you have.
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/488409
that link will help with a lot of your questions
3. easiest way to make back ups is by buying a Samsung PC DVD-Rom drive flashed with Kreon firmware at Ebay. SH-D162C (IDE) or SH-D163A (SATA)
4. Best program to use is either Xbox Backup Creator or Schtrom 3.3
5. best program for checking the ISO for steal (meaning all needed files are present) is DVDmulleter. Only needed for people who download because if you back up from original discs with one of the drives and programs i mentioned it will be stealth every time. You should ONLY use stealth back ups!

After flashing your 360 it will accept back up copies the same as an original copy. Hopefully this starts your journey.

So I can't use the current dvd burner in my computer because it's not flashed?

Or do I only need that if I want to copy games I already have?

Anyone have aim or msn here? I think it's easier if there is someone nice enough to answer all of my dumb little questions rather than cluttering up the board with them here.

Crap, I have a Benq drive, or whatever it's called (first picture in that series of 3) and according to the tut there is no way to flash it.

Just recently the Benq drive has become flashable without the need to solder. We are now just waiting on the firmware for it to be complete and the benq owners out there will all be set. Just give it a week or so. Just keep reading up for a couple weeks and you should be preped to roll.
