instead of having to spend a hundred bucks on the microsoft wireless adapter for the 360, or having to spend 70 bucks for the linksys, shouldnt you be able to spend 40bucks on linksys,(dlink, or whichever brand) wireless router? Assuming you already have a wireless network in the area, all you should have to do is set up the 2nd router as an access point, and run an ethernet cable from the access point to the 360. Makes sense to me. Has anyone tried this yet or will i be the first?

personally i use a Linksys wireless router and gaming adapter on mine. Using other people's wireless is not as reliable as your own connection and may not work well when gaming unless you can get a very strong and constant signal. Even in my house if i move the adapter more then 60 feet from the wireless router it can hang up when playing games online. Even though it shows that it still has a strong signal.

i didnt mean stealing wireless from someone else lol. I meant if you already have it set up in your house, instead of buying a 'gaming adapter', why not just buy another wireless router, set it to access point, and use it just like the adapter. That way you spend the same $, if not not less, and have a whole nextra router incase you ever need it, instead of just an adapter.

yea thats just redundency, you can do the same thing with your PC, copy your PC IP/DNS scheme into your 360, then use a network cable and connect the 360 to the PC and using your wireless card on your PC, the xbox will use the hosts IP (pc ip) and direct connect the xbox to the PC, allowing internet to the 360....

check it out.

I can answer that question pretty simply as you did above xbubbax .
"stop being cheap"
Go to Ebay, Buy a Samsung SH-D1672C (IDE) or SH-D163A (SATA) drive flashed with Kreon firmware and you will have a lot less problems then the jimmy rig method your using now.

Why not make it easy on yourself by spedning $50. Then you will have it much easier. Stick a disc in the PC drive, back it up (always stealth-no patching) and burn it with your current burner.
