Hello all, I am trying to get Jackass.iso (Full untouched version = 1.6 GB) to run on my fat PSP and getting the following error msg:
"The game could not be started (80020148)"

Don't think it is a bad .iso because this is the only full version floating around the torrent sites and other users around the threads are reporting working versions.

My Firmware
Currently running cfw 3.71 m33-2 (without 1.5K add-on)

Recovery Configuration:
Game folder homebrew - Both 1.5K & 3.71K not working
UMD Mode - Normal UMD Required (Using Region 4 PAL UMD)
Fake region - Disabled
Free UMD region - Enabled

Recovery Advanced Configuration:
Plain modules in UMD/ISO - Enabled

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Thank you for the suggestions but still no luck with the above configurations.
Must be the .iso because I run other games from this MS with no problems.

I'll try another .iso and report back.
Whats another 1.6 GB out of 120 GB p/mth anway?

Cheers

you should verify the isos with a database such as advanscene

1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

I have verified both .iso's with advanscene:
FIFA 08
Jackass

I have the legit releases and still I am not able to run these iso's with cfw 3.71 m33-2. Other iso's are working fine.

Would really appreciate the recovery configuration settings that others are using for the above games.
My Firmware / Configuration
Currently running cfw 3.71 m33-2 (without 1.5K add-on)

Recovery Configuration:
Game folder homebrew - Both 1.5K & 3.71K not working
UMD Mode - Tried all modes with no success
Fake region - Disabled (Tried all fake regions)
Free UMD region - Enabled (Tried Disabled)

Recovery Advanced Configuration:
Plain modules in UMD/ISO - Enabled (Tried Disabled)

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

Reslution:
Set everything in your recovery to Disabled appart from "VSH menu" and "Hide corrupt icons". Kernel mode shouldn't matter for PSP games, but i always have it at 1.50.

Awesome Work, Thank you.
