i got my xbox 360 2 days ago with a nba live 07 game.at first i tried to play the game with the console placed vertically.it did not work because for some reason the disk could not stay in place,it also didn't fall over.when i tried playing in horizontally it worked.can somebody please help me,i love when the system is vertical.

if u're smart u wouldn't want to have ur xbox 360 standing vertical, yeah yeah yeah, it would look so cool blah blah blah, the 360 ventilation system is at the 2 side, it's pulling in cool air through those two side and spitting out hot air at the back. standing it up would mean blocking 1 ventilation door, and 360 is known for overheating now that u block cool air from getting inside the system..... do the math! the second problem is that when u stand it up, the disc can not stay firm on the dvd tray therefore the laser lens couldn't read it. i even put 1 more fans inside the 360 and put new heat sink in it and even cut the plastic cover and metal cover at the back out the get more hot air out to solve the heating problem. if u want to keep ur system working well and not getting over heated then do what i do, if u want to have it looking cool then that's ur choice! and good luck with that!

hey dude chill out but anyways its better to have it horizontal, but if you really must have it vertical return it because that sounds like a wierd accelometer promblem.
