Alright to start months ago I upgraded my PSP (1001) to 3.40 OE-A. I had it for a while and enjoyed it but when Star Wars BTSR (iso) came out and I need to upgrade to 3.52 M33 I decided to do it.

I at first upgraded to 3.52 M33 and everything went smooth. It worked completely and I played Star Wars Battle Front: SR for a hour on a flight. I saw I could upgrade to the "update 4 = 3.52 M33-4" so I decided why not.

I downloaded M33-4 update, put it in my Psp root (X:/), ran the update and it completed without any issues.

I then tried to go back to playing Star Wars, but it wouldn't load. It instead loaded the UMD game in my cartridge. I tried another game which worked on 3.40 OE-A (cso) and it again loaded the game from my UMD cartridge.

I tried to re-update back to regular 3.52 M33, running the M33 creator and update and it went by smooth. However when I tried to play Star Wars or other iso/cso games they won't load still and I get the message: "The game could not be started (80020321)".

PLEASE HELP ME.

What should I do? I want to get back to my regular 3.52 M33, so my games can work, how do I go about this?

Please help, thanks alot.

You need to use a recovery pack and downgrade (AKA recover) to 1.50 again, once there you can go to 3.52 m33 again. If you would like, just pretend you're on 3.40 OE-A again and just upgrade to 3.52 m33 from 3.52 M33-4.

First, thanks for responding.

A recovery pack and downgrade (AKA recover)?? What is that and how do I go about doing that? I was thinking I would need to downgrade back to 1.50...

I did. When I saw 3.52 M33-4 wasn't playing my cso/iso's (yet everything else worked perfectly) I re-updated back to the regular 3.52 M33, but there wasn't a change.

Alright, well HERE is a recovery pack. You paste this in your GAME folder and after doing so, you go to recovery and Run Program at PSP/GAME/RECOVERY.

Thanks, I'm just finished downloading it just now and will run the recovery mode.

Before I do, I just want to clear something up. Once I run this recovery program, my system will be back at 1.50, right?

If so what steps do I go about getting back the 3.52 M33? Since I had 3.40 OE-A, it was simple and all I had to do was just copy the M33Creator file to my Game150 file, run creator from XMB, than run M33 update from XMB.

What steps do I take now?

They are exactly the same as OE steps exept for the following:

If on 1.50, you need to run the nokxploit patcher first, then you can run the update maker.

You do not need to copy the DATA.DXAR to the 340flasher folder, as it already does that for you.

Alright just to got through a checklist.

1). copy recovery pack folder to PSP/GAME.
2). disconnect PSP from computer, than run recovery program from game area

3). recovery program will complete and i'll be back to 1.5.
4). put nokxploit patcher in Game150 folder, don't have to do so with data.dxr because it's already done.

5). put M33Creator folder (with 352.PBP + 150.PBP inside) in GAME150 folder.

6). disconnect PSP from computer.

7). run nokxploit patcher

8). when done run M33Creator
9). whend done run M33Updater.

10). I'm done.

Did I miss any steps?

Sorry just trying to get it right.

I put the recovery folder in PSP/GAME folder, disconnected my PSP and tried to run the recovery from the Game section but it is stated as "corrupted data" file.

Is there another place where I run recovery from?

You have to run the option "run program at psp/game/recovery' in you recovery menu.

I don't know how to access that option. How do I even get into the recovery menu?

I used recovery to get back to 1.50.

I then copied kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% to /PSP/GAME/

I disconnected my psp, got on it, went under Game and then memory stick, clicked PSP Update ver X.YZ and it stated:

"The game could not be started. (80020001)"

What do I do? Did I miss something?

Once you recover to 1.50, you do not need to run update X.YZ, you need to run the m33 update creator and then the flasher.

I can't run M33Creator because the PSP is telling me I need to do my update (when I turn it off then back on it tells me that) the update is the XYZ update but that won't run, it just goes flashes the PSP white screen, goes black then goes back to the main screen with the "The game could not be started" message.

nope, couldn't run any program from the game file.

I re-formatted my memory stick and re-ran that now so I guess I'm starting from scratch now..

Yeah, well in order to run the m33 creator, then you need to run the nokxploit patcher first though.

I did that it's processing right now. After it's finished and I run the update, I'll check to see if my iso's and cso's work.

I pray they do. :(

you're on 1.50, right? if so, everything goes in the game folder (nokxploit, nokxploit%, M33creator). not GAME150 because that didnt exist back then.

So what folders and where do I put them? (forgot)

Also it's okay for me to put my iso's and cso's in the "ISO" folder right?
