I've got a nice new 1.5. I'll make a pandora battery and stick and then I want to update to 3.52 m33 and apply the update 4.... I read about 3.71m33 and find it's really unstable. Advice? Should I just go for 3.71?

3.71 M33-2 + 1.50 ADD ON is just as stable as 3.52 M33-4. The only problem I have with 3.71 M33-2 is that the popsloader plugin doesn't work for PSX games. Other then that it works perfectly fine.

For those unforeseen events when updating to CFW... so if it bricks on me I can unbrick it right away. I just seem to read about bricking happening when people are going to CFW like 3.52m33 or .71... not sure if it's user error or just chance so I'm going to make myself the pandora and magic stick just incase something goes wrong.

Its user error that bricks the PSP's. The custom firmware updater's are perfectly fine if run properly.

@Rogdrik

Check this Guide out HERE. It creates a Pandora Battery without using mspformat/msipl command prompts on the PC. It only uses the PSP.

Kind of what I thought.... I'm pretty careful so I'm sure I'll be fine, I just try and read a ton of guides and then find one that seems to have all the info.
