Why has my psp lost its memory stick?

I installed Devhook on my PSP but it showed corrupt files so I deleted it from the memory stick. Now the psp wont show the memory stick and wont format it stating "no memory stick inserted". The memory stick works in another psp though.
If I installed the wrong Devhook for my firmware 1.5 psp could I have caused this problem?
Can I reflash back to 2.0 without a memory card and then back to 1.5?
Someone out there must be clever enough to help me pleeeeeeease...

format it with the other psp and then try it on yours. try wiping the gold part that looks like its teeth (lol) with your shirt and then try it again. but i would try to format it first.

I formatted the sony 2gb stick on another psp and it is the same. if the devhook I put on didnt support v1.5 would this cause the problem.
I have been told it could be the wifi board as the psp will do everything else. I find it a bit of a coincidence tho that this psp has worked for two year until I put devhook on it.

dunt think devhook is the problem, however there is no other devhook other then the one for 1.50, it works for 2.71 as well but..

maybe ur psp has really broken down.. its been 2 years

thats why they only gave it a 1 year warranty? HAHA

its the memory stick not the psp
it happens to me and its gay when it does
try removing the memory stick and cleaning it with a cotten bud and if that doesnt work remove it and put it back in while restrating
