I've heard some bad and good things about it. I was just wondering if it's worth getting because I might get one for Christmas.

Also does sandisk make a 4 gb stick or just sony? I'd rather have a sandisk.

i have three 4gig sticks and have had no problems what so ever. they are all different brands; sony, sandisk, and lexar. in my opinion they are completely identical and the only difference would be the price that i paid for them.
