I'm running firmare 3.03 OE-B and I'm getting the following message when trying to launch games:

The game could not be started. (80020148)

I'm able to run some games but not others.

Is there a known issue or should I do something to my firmware?

Any help would be grate!!

Do u have a UMD inside while trying to run the iso's

because you need one and if you do

then that means that the game might require a higher firmware

i suggest 3.40 Oe-a u can get the easy installer HERE or use this GUIDE to update to 3.52 M33 - 4

Don't go to 3.40 OE-A install 3.52 M33-4 which you can follow this guide HERE to do it.

After you update to 3.52 m33-4 go HERE and follow the steps to get your ISO/CSO games working properly.

will I still be able to use all the additional apps I would use with my 3.03 OE-B:

-ISO Compresser
-UMDDUMP
-Emulators
-etc...

or will I need something else when running 3.52 MM3-4?

I am sure all will still work but 3.52 M33 has a built in UMD ripper just hit HOME when at XMB and select USB in the USB Mode menu and it will access the UMD when you enable the USB. This letting you rip the UMD disc to PC.

I have 3.03 oe-c. has anyone tried running the following games on 3.52 m33-4:

Castlevania Dracula X
Transformers
Final Fantasy 2 Anniverary
Monster Hunter 2 freedom
Spiderman 3
Spiderman friend or foe

I need feedback!

If i do have to upgrade i need a little advice

3.52 m33-4 will run those games and is very simple and quick to install.

Someone that can spell and type but can't read? The information you are asking for has been covered in the previous above post. But anyway I will repeat myself once again.

I would recommend at least 3.52 M33-4 custom firmware. You can go HERE and follow the guide. All files needed are linked in the guide.

After you have updated to 3.52 M33-4 go HERE and follow the steps to get your ISO/CSO games working properly.

you won't get far on 3.03 oe-c. newer games require higher firmwares. it's best to upgrade now.

Yeah i just tried upgrading following larry's guide and i forgot m33 only work on slims due to RAM. or has someone else put m33 on a phat.
Anyway im stuck at the M33 creator Part so im fd up right now cuz i used the patch and now im stuck on a 1.50 FW.

I recommend going down to 1.50 then up to 3.52 M33. Numerous users have had issues going from 3.40 OE-A to 3.52 M33.

It's funny how 100's of others have used my guide and the files I have linked to and have had no issues. More then likely its the user thats doing something incorrect.

Hey Larry it was you who was helping me when i updated to 3.52 and i used the same M33 creator i used on my 1.50 but its just that the 1.5 psp wouldn't finish the creator.

so i went up to 3.40 used it for a while and then i tried the m33 creator on 3.40 and worked like a charm

and after that u even helped me get my iso's to run on my 3.52 by changing the umd thing to say Sony 660###..and disabling some options on the advanced menu

so in my case its was the 1.5 that wouldn't let me finish the creator not me hehe...lol
