he use to have 3.52m33-4, but.. today when i went to his house he was playing around with his recovery menu, and then when it said press X to shutdown, he tried but nothing, then after 10 min he manually turned it of by holding the power off for 6 seconds.
now when he turns it back on, its just black, and he cant get into recovery menu either.
But the weird thing is that the green light on his psp stays on until you turn it of yourself. And most ppl's bricked psp green light turns off after 20 seconds, how come?
Can pandora kit help restore his psp or does he need to buy a new 1?

Try changing brightness of screen just in case. Sounds like a full brick though. You will need pandora to fix

yeah, its my friends psp but yeah.. he tried changing the brightness but still nothing and no recovery menu either if he hold R while turning on the PSP.
But he's crying and weeping all over the phone saying "oh my parents gonna kill and pandora not gonna work"
i told him to buy a cheap pandoras kit at ebay or send it to some1 and they'll fix it.
but the weird thing is that the green light stays on, in most cases it just turns of after 20 seconds. Even i'm not sure if pandora will work

First if u got a friend with some psp with cfw
to create Pandora's magic mem/JigKick Battery

put all folders on PSP/GAME/pandora_battery & pandora _battery%
this too: pbfirm_install & pbfirm_install%
now put mem stick on psp
click to pandora install
To create the msipl.bin file
now put the memory on card reader and use dos key again
c:\msinst\msinst L mispl.bin (enter)key
PSP MS IPL INSTALLER
load IPL code msipl.bin
Are You Sure? [Y] Y
.....
.......... then
Write MS BOOT CODE
DONE ...u got the magic Now.!!
*****************************************
now put again the memory card on psp
and run (pandora battery) to create u own JigKick Battery
choice backup battery EEPROM before converting
