hi
my sky plus box broke about half a year ago (or more) basically we had 2 sky + boxes and i think one when plugged in stayed on standby and one just didn't do anything when you turn plug it in. and yes i did try using
a verity of different power leads etc and i still have the two boxes.

anyway i was going to buy another sky plus box but i was wondering could i buy a sky hd box , put my sky plus smartcard in and use the hd box as a sky plus box? or would the card not work unless you phone up sky and change it to hd which means you have to pay more.
