Cant get 3.10 0E-A to upgrade or downgrade

Hi everyone

I cant seem to be able to do anything with a psp running 3.10 OE-A.
I want to get to 3.52 M33-4 CFW or 3.71 M33-2 and have tried larrylje`s guide here

but when i run PRAGRAM AT/PSP/RECOVERY/EBOOT/PBP the psp switches off and when i switch it back on its still at 3.10 oe-a.
also tried the universal unbricker/upgrader (although im an idiot and made a mistake and misread the instructions thinking i didnt need to run the msipl installer)since then i have gone through the guide again but when i press L trigger + X to install msipl.bin to the memory stick it restarts and says memory card can not be read.
Gone through these steps numerous times but can`t get any further.
Last of all i`ve tried pandora easy installer.
Ive ran installer and now have
pandoras battery creator,KXploit permenant patcher,3.52m33 firmware,
3:33:33 and a corrupted data in my game memory stick folder.
Ran the battery creator but cant run anything else as yet again saying MS can not be read.
Im so sorry for the long post.

I had same problem with MS not being read. See larrys profile and use the old guide method, worked for me
