Is it even possible to make a pandora battery on a psp slim?

I modded the battery (clipped one of the pins to force it into the service mode). But, whenever plug the battery in the power light turn on but the screen stays off. Anyone have any suggestions?

Battery works, your magic memory stick must not be installed properly.

My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

I did it! I used the totalnewbieeasyinstallermenu. What I was doing wrong was towards the end of the install it'll say "install sector such-such. are you sure?[Y]" At first I just hit enter & it'll cancel out. But this time I just type Y next to for the hell of it. It installed a ms boot code. Popped the battery in & it installed the firmware.
