Which to update first? And How?

I have a PAL Wii, modded with Wiikey.

My situation:
Semi-bricked my PAL Wii after updating with NTSC Mario Striker Charged. Brilliant friend's trigger fingers. Now I cannot access my Wii Settings. Get Opera browser error whenever I try.

What's at hand:
I now have Metroid Prime 3 PAL - backup DVD. It has the Wii Firmware 3.0 update.

I have not updated my Wii to firmware 3.0. I also have not updated my Wiikey.

I am thinking of updating my Wiikey to 1.9b also.

I don't know which firmware version my Wii has, cos I cannot access my Wii settings.

Questions:
- Will the firmware update in metroid prime 3 fix my inaccessible settings problem (semi-bricked)?
- Which should I update first? Wiikey first or Firmware in Metroid3?
- How should I do each update?
- Are there any chances of bricking my PAL Wii?

I dont know about pal but i didnt have 1.9b on my wiikey and did the 3.1U update for my wii, later i updated to 1.9g on wiikey with no problems
