annoying "found new hardware" at start up

every time i turn on the computer it says found new hardware.the problem is it says that the hardware is called unknown.i never let it connect to the internet but when it tries to install it shows that the process could not be completed.how can i remove this thing so it never runs again?

Until you remove this new hardware it will always do that. I'm guessing you didn't actually connect new hardware. Did you install any software that may have created a virtual drive?

problem is i dont know what it is.it could be a virus or it could be anything but i didnt connect any new hardware.

Have you installed any new software, even a mouse or printer or keyboard. A camera? anything you connect to a computer. Or have installed hardware in the past?

I'll asume that you are using xp so go to the control panel and run add hardware. It will look for any new devices that have benn connect but yet installed. Tell me what it says once it's done scanning.
