After much help from the forum and others I have finally got my PSP loaded with custom firmware. I loaded it with 3.52 M33-4. I then formated my ProDuo and now I feel that I am ready to go.

My plan is to really use it for two things, video and homebrew such as MAME. I am a real big fan of emulators and would like to bring them with we when I travel. Is there an idiot guide to know where to put what files? The two game folders and video folders are confusing me.

well i got a littel advice:

Where the emulator goes depened on which kernel you have set in your recovery mode. Lets say you have the 3.52 Kernel, Then all your games will go inside GAME150, but if you have the 1.50 Kernel, then they all go inside the GAME folder. The videos are very straight forward, once converted to MPEG-4, then simply paste in the VIDEO folder (ms0:/VIDEO).

a bit of a stupid question but how do u convert ur movies to mpeg-4 format. is there any application for the psp where u can watch avi movies on it?

u have to convert the videos to .3gp or .mp4. i believe the videos part belong to the other psp forums.. not this

but in anyway it should not be in ms0:\psp\vidoe

instead it should be in ms0:\mp_root\100MNV01

the file names are named in some weird sequence number with the format

pls search it under the other forums..

1 recommendation: u may try total video converter.. they convert everything for u and place and create it under the correct folder.. all u have to do is paste it accordingly

and you can use the 3GP or Video 9 converters to do that.
