Flashed drive speeds up and down during game?

Hey, i have a flashed hitachi 47dj and it seems when i play backups on it the drive keeps speeding up and down. Just want to know if this is normal? Or if not then what would be the cause?

Yes, it is normal. Sometimes it is reading more from the disc then others and it will spin at different speeds.
