About three weeks ago (maybe more) i posted an article claiming that the 360 was a piece of crap, and i advised buyers to opt for the PS3 instead.

I was quite angry with their paltry warranty policies. My printed warranty stated i had only 30 days coverage. I copped a lot of abuse from the 360 nuts in this forum on my post.

My experience of the great customer service and repair since then has changed my stance. I feel that 360 does provide a good option. I was glad to see that they didn't just tell me to go away: 'sucked in, your machine is now dudded!'.

I ended up finding out that it was triple red light. On contacting the call centre i found that triple red light was covered for three years warranty. They instructed me to send it off, which i did. Within just under a week and a half my 360 had returned in the mail with the defect corrected. I also got a one month live subscription (not much, but something).

Anyway, i am very grateful for their excellent customer service. It seems that Microsoft may have improved somewhat from its notorius Window's-bug days. They do still release products with defects unfortunatly, but my experience of the product being promptly fixed free of charge has made me feel that their service is generally satisfactory. I take back my earlier comments.

glad to hear your happy again. I think that is the fist time i have seen someone talk about Microsoft's "Great Customer Service". It is almost an oxymoron. But as long as you are happy then they did their job.

That was only because you didn't want to listen when people were telling you it was covered under warranty.

When you were saying stuff like

... what would you expect. It took me 10 seconds on Xbox.com/AU to find the warranty coverage for Australia was 3 years.

But it's cool you found out about still being covered and not just giving up. And really, a week and a half turnaround is almost unheard of. Usually it's 3 to 5 weeks.

Glad things worked out.
