How is it done? I burt the ISO to a CD (wouldn't go to DVD) but the Wii won't read the disc... :(

i dont think a wii will read cd`s got to be a dvd havn`t tried it myself yet waiting for some feedback

Yeah, use a DVD and IMGBurn as others have said. Works great on my NTSC Wii with Wiikey.

Hmm too bad that it's still not working for me.
I did the update, and when i insert Smg i get a black screen after the wii screen

Install the 1.9g firmware update
dont brickblock the smg release
dont Regionfrii it to pal???
Let the update run if it asks for it
set language to english

Hi,i still have the first wiikey firmware, do i need to install the 1.9 update first then install 1.9beta smg or i can just go ahead and install the 1.9 smg beta update. thanks

I have the 1.9b with the 1.3 config working pretty well. Sometimes I have to reboot the wii to change games. I have no interest in playing the Mario Galaxy, Should I do the upgrade anyway. Will this upgrade work on future games. I do want to buy High School Musical Sing It for the kids.
Should we wait for an official 2.0 release?

If you dont want to play SMG then deffinatly do NOT use the beta frimware. Just wait for an official release of the next Firmware.

I'm a little concerned as well. I want to play Galaxy but I'm a little worried that it might **** up my Wii. What do you guys think? Thus far I've had no issues whatsoever in anyway with my modded wii. I just don't want to have to wait forever for 2.0 :\
By the way, when you run the update on Galaxy does it just update your wii to firmware version 3.1?

If you're worried about bricking your Wii or some disaster happening, it's probably a better idea to wait and make sure people who have upgraded with beta 1.9g haven't had any problems.

I updated from 1.2 to 1.9g with no problems, played the game for about 1.5 hours whit no problems, havent try any other games yet O.o post your impressions

LOL, there never was a 1.2 wiikey firmware! The only firmware releases were the original and 1.9b and now 1.9g
You must be talking about the setup disc

So wait, do you just burn the 41mb image that you download to DVD, or do you have to change the filesize first? This is my last DVD-R, so I want to get it right before I have to get some more!
They cant stop us.

I mean, it seems like most people are having a positive experience with 1.9g. I would expect mine to work perfectly since I've never had a problem with anything. I shouldn't have to worry about bricking either since I have a NTSC Wii. I guess I'll go for it tonight once I get home.

Upgraded from the original firmware to 1.9g last night. Played SMG for about 2 hours without any problems. Popped in Zach and Wiki this morning also working just fine. Install went smooth and easy on my NTSC Wii.

I did the upgrade to 1.9g then ran Mario, it did the upgrade but when I go to play the game I get the #0001 error still, any advice and yes I do have a Wiikey and running 3.0u

That happened to me too. I had to re-run the upgrade. Make sure you don't exit after just the test flash. Make sure you do both of the upgrade options on the disc (test and actual flash).
