i recently upgraded from 3.40oeA to 3.71m33.
and all the settings are set as default.
i have also upgraded it to 3.71m33 update 2 and the 1.5 kernel .

my problem is
when i play the sims2 cast away cso 299mb . it hangs after few minutes of gameplay.
so i thought it is cso problem
i converted it to iso of 995mb and played it . but same problem.
even when playing god of war demo cso . it hanged once.
after psp hangs i have to restart the psp.
all the settings of firmware are set to default.
please can someone really help me out here.

i am on 3.71m33-2 and i got sims 2 castaway aswell but i have not got the same problem as you. maybe your game was a bad iso maybe.

are u using default clock speeds?
any special configuration? and u using iso or cso?
this game hangs every time i play it after 5-10mins even gow demo did once.

can it be any hardware fault?

try getting a new iso or increase ur cpu speed..

format flash1 is also recommended.

I have the sims castaway iso and it is over 988kb.(working) How did you shrink? I cannot seem to find an app that will shrink ISO's that will work. No hanging with the 988kb iso.

are u sure its kb??i think its mb.to shrink it, use psp iso compresser.u can seacrh it at http://www.psp-hacks.com

Try formating your MS. BACKUP YOUR FILES FIRST TOUGH!. I'd suggest to use the PSP to format it, but if the problem persists use Windows.

Hey guys.

I have the same problem. That sims castaway is freezing.

My firmware is CFW 3.71 M33-3

I want to try it by increasing the CPU speed, but how?
