I have in mind to buy the new latest slimp PSP for my son, I hope just in time before the Christmas rush.
Do these PSP can be still be downgraded to be playable with downloaded games?
If yes can you lead me to a thread where I can download the firmware?
Secondly, can you suggest what type of memory stick I need to buy for this PSP?
THANKS

Yes, they can, but that requires a PSP fat to do.
Theres a sticky, otherwise, use Google.
At least 1 GB, maybe 2/4 GB

Wait wait wait ... :) I am a newbie here. What do you mean by PSP fat? Google calories lol. Joke apart I did not understand the fat and how google enters the scene
As regards memory sticks, I meant do they have a particular size, brand etc
Thanks again

A PSP Fat is the old PSP, not the PSP Slim, and to google to search a thread/tutorial to make Pandora.
No, any memory stick will do.
That thread can help, but not help you make the pandora.

Just get the original psp your son won't realize the difference and its much easier to downgrade and upgrade to custom firmware MUCH EASIER !

LOL Fat and slim ... ok ok
So by telling me that I should get the original PSP means that the slim PSP are not downgraded?
Hi guys I just want a straight answer - Are the slim PSP downgradable or not? It is futile to buy a slim PSP and I have to stick with originals only

PSP Slims are NOT downgradeable, however, you can make something called Pandora's Battery by using a PSP Fat to take the Slim to a custom firmware, enabling you to run 3.XX kernel homebrew and ISO's.

fat psp's are downgradeable with less hassle, however considering the new psp's (Fat) come with firmware on average above 3.50, you might need to find yourself someone who already has a downgraded psp. If you have that, you can do anything with a PSP really. (Fat or Slim)
(personally i prefer Fat easily ^_^)
