my firmware is 3.71
today i was playing ben 10 and everything was fine. i put it on the bed for a lil bit. i picked it up about 10 minutes later and i hear this loud screeching distorted garbled up ****ty audio coming from the psp... i didnt even do anything to it. all i know is the sound decided to **** itself up and now everytime i press a button that usually makes a sound or if music is playing.. i hear this horrible screeching sound in the backround that makes it so u cant even hear the music.. i restarted the psp about 20 times because sum1 said they had that problem until they restarted but its still there!!! i dont know how to really explain it but if im on the main psp screen and i press left diagonal button to go left... the distorted sound can be compared to the loud radio sounds that u hear when ur flipping to find a station or when u turn on ur tv and its not an official channel.. basically its very LOUD static... i don't know why this is happening and i cant take back to sony so please dont tell me to do that.. i just want to know if sum1 else had the problem and how they fixed it bcuz this doesnt look temporary...

yea

Disassemble your PSP then have a look inside the PSP.The speakers may be faulty.

it shouldnt, the speakers are differnt then the headset, so it shouldnt. if the headset has the noise then the sound system is messed up.
