how to upgrade from 2.60 to 2.71......

hi,
i have got my psp at a 3.40 OE-A which i have downgraded it from a 2.71 to 1.5 then upgraded to 3.40 OE-A.
however my freind has got a 2.60 version on his psp. now i could downgrade straight to a 1.5, but it is more complicated and finding the patch as well. so i would rather upgrade to a 2.71-1.5-3.40 OE-A.
so can anyone figure out or if you already know how to upgrade the 2.60 to 2.71, and give me some websites for where i could this upgrade from please.... thanks.

Use THIS to upgrade to 2.71. Then depending on which MotherBoard he has... you use a downgrader.

No problem... (i know that says for Modchip, but its the same thing, if he has nothing there then its TA-079 By the way)

yes he says that when you turn your psp around and open the umd disc, on the right side there is nothing there at all(writing), but on the left side there is.
so it should be compatible like mine, i checked mine when i was downgrading and there isnt anything there.

Yeah, then you need to use the TA-082 downgrader after you're on firmware 2.71.
