I have my original MS25 firmware but no ms25 drive it fried a while back so bought a new drive but it is ms 28
is there anyway to use the ms25 firmware to hack the ms38 drive

Dump the original ms28 drive firmware and copy your key to the firmware with FWToolbox. Then take that firmware and make the hacked firmware with the make xtreme command in the firmware folder. Open that new FW with FWToolbox and spoof it back to ms25. Then flash.

Well you'll need a VIA SATA chipset to flash the MS28. You might want to check out PS2menace's guide. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/464269

You already have the orig.bin that you need to use so go from there.

i got everything and i tried flashing it wit the ms25 firmware
but i used hack should i try regular
and how do i spoof it
