Ok... I'll start by saying I know that this has been asked about before.... With that being said... on to the core question:
I have a PSP Slim running 3.71 M33-2 firmware. For some reason, I seem to be having trouble with my copy of Breath of Fire IV! (SLUS-01324) I have tried everything I could think of, I re-ripped the ISO, I've used several different methods of converting it to a .PBP (AutoPopstation4, PSX2PSP, IceTea 1.3). I've also tried creating it at a compressed level (Level 9) and an uncompressed level (Level 0...)
The odd thing is it works... sorta. What happens is it will boot up regularly get past the PS symbol, then show the CAPCOM screen. However, there is a split second after the CAPCOM screen where the brightness goes down a notch and reverts to a blank white screen. At this moment I can here the intro video, but I see no video at all and it seems like none of the face buttons work! (except of course the bottom row of buttons) The only way to get out of it is to either press the HOME button or just turn off the system. I have also tried starting the iso with different UMD ISO MODE (toggled either from the recovery or VSH menu) just trying to see if that would make a difference.
There must be something simple that I am doing wrong, which usually seems to be the case :P... I haven't tried the PSX game on my PHAT, yet... But I don't see where the difference would be in that... I am open to any suggestions (and flames?) in trying anything... Also, I re-flashed my PSP with my jig-kick to see if I had any flash problems and also disabled all my .prx files and still no go.... I just can't figure out why it will will partially load the game then stop working all of a sudden!!!!
Thank you for any help in advance
