It's funny how well they made it seem like DAX communicated with them lol. I hope I'm wrong but i don't think it's real, no other sites at all have posted anything about this!

Well, there's no point worrying about that now, new CFW just released by _HellDashX_, 3.72 HX. Thread - News Link

The scene has been a roller coaster ride and has followed a similar pattern. When 1.50 first came out, the PSP-Dev team was the lead coding team with Swaploit and later KXploit. When they stop updating, people claimed that the scene was dying. Humma Kavula started releasing UMD emulator and Fastloader. When he left, the scene slowed down for a while until DaX stepped up to the plate and started releasing all kinds of PSP programs. The same thing is happening now that he is gone. _HellDashX_ has been around the PSP scene for a while, releasing various other programs--now that DaX is gone, I think that he has what it takes to pick up where DaX left off.
As for not being able to keep at it forever, I believe the Dreamcast is proof that you can. The Dreamcast scene is still alive and kicking. Even if Sony releases a newer PSP, this old scene will still live and coders will continue to release applications for it--even if there aren't as many as there are now.
