i have a hitachi 78fk dvd drive and i ordered the via 6421a sata card. when i hook up the xbox 360 in the sata card and run slax it doesnt say spinning up disc or anything it just goes through and at the end the xbox 360 will eject with one click, which isn't mode b. my question is should i have ordered the via 6421L card instead of the A card, or should i just buy another older version hitachi drive, please help, thanks

Use slax 2.0 and not 2.1

I had to do this on one 0078 drive and then it worked. Every other 78 drive I could use slax 2.1

Also make sure you're using the port furthest away from the header of the card.
