hi im quite new to this but im wondering if anybody can help me with this problem i have installed a wiikey in my console and it will not read any backups but it still plays originals fine do i have to have a boot disc to activate the modchip or should it just work automatically????

please help.

I had the same problem. Did you use short wire install? I had to unsolder my short wire install and do a long wire install (2-3 inches) in order to get it to work.

no i have used the quick solder pads and bridged from the pad to the terminal, i wish now that i had used wire but that was an after though , did you have to use any form of boot disk to activate the wiikey because mine will not read the backup disk, im begining to wonder if i have been sold a duff chip i got it from gc. maybe i should take it off and try wires like you have.
