Ive tired everything I can think of and what people have suggested but still no luck...have ms25, via vt6421 sata pci card...

list of what ive done but still get stuck at 1%

updated drivers on the via card
unplugged all other drivers
made iprep bootable disk with latest fw
then tried XBM bootable disk with 5.2fw
got to dos
Extreme Primary Master always...
tried every technique under the sun (10 sec trick a bunch of times)

theres a few things im not sure about, should I hexedit my card? and is there anything I should enable or disable in my Bios (phoenix)

be great to finaly solve this, please help...

General failure writing drive C
Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail?

and once or twice this??

Port: df00, Master/Slaver: a0
Status = 80, should be 70

(then after 30secs nothing happened so i pressed esc and this poped up)

ERR: user break

ive tried different sata cables, usb drives...
1% every time...shouldnt be this hard???

i'll be impressed if anyone can figure this out...
