wiikey does not read dvd-r, only orginals!

I have chipped my wii that works good with orginals, but if i insert a wiikey ugrade boot cd or a backup(game) the wii clicks and givs a cannot read disc or it sounds like a typewriter and gets a black error screen.

my soldering is good i think. se pictures.

Resize those images- they are too big.

I think you should add more solder to the gold contact points, see if that works.

PLEASE would you and eveyone read the stckys on how to do this. If your confident on your install (which is always a big problem, your not the first or the last to think you got it right but actually lifted the solder pads off) then make sure you are burning the isos :
1. Correctly
2. Slow (around 2-2.4x recommended)
3. On good media (try different types out verbatims are usally spot on!)

will try to solder it again. but had no problem during soldering, so i think the pads are ok since i only applyed soldering tin once.

Also, i have used 2 types of verbatims, on 3 different computers at 1x-2x-4x burning.
