Is the Lan adaptor Mac address for the Wii supposed to be all 0s and hyphens or is my Wii faulty?

Also I have tried and tried to get my netgear router to connect me with the specific ip settings etc and nothing still wont connect it always finds my router but at the end it does not connect has anyone had this experience with Netgear Routers and the Wii?

The latest and last thing I am gonna try is add the Wii Mac address to my router but I fogot my username and password and wont reset itself when I get a replacement I can try this.I think that maybe there are some wii that wont connect unless you buy that Wii fi nintendo thing
