Is there any way to check if a backup is working without a flashed drive?

I was just wondering if you could test a backup without a flashed 360. Is there a program for this, or is it pretty much secure that if you burn a backup according to everyone's directions, it will be fine?

no way i know of to check without having a modded system. And burning can depend on a few factors like the quality of the media you use, the actual file itself, burning speed and how well your burner makes the disc. So the answer again is no, no guarantee that if you follow a guide it will work every time.
