I have read many post and cant find a straight answer. I have a chipped 360. I have a sammy drive in my computer, with 1.0 frimware. I use the xbox creator and imgburn to burn the game. I know for the PS2 I have to enter the patch number in order to play the games online. Do I have to have a program put the patch number in the game. Also, with a chiped 360 will I get banned?

Not sure what Sammy drive you have in your PC. If it is a regular DVD burner it is not what you need to back up original Xbox 360 games. For that you would need an SH-D162C (IDE) or SH-D163A (SATA) Samsung drive flashed with Kreon firmware. If that is used it will make an image where no patching is required for that game to play, online or offline.

If you get the games online then you may or may not have to "stealth patch" the game. Depending on who made the image and if they did it correctly. Patching is done with programs like Xbox Backup Creator, Schtrom, or DVDMulleter. Those programs are also use to test an image and make sure it is stealth.

Will you get banned? Well if you do everything right then you have a much lower chance of getting banned. But nothing makes you totally immune.
