can someone please tell me the difference somene modded mine and i read everywhere you need the new update for wiikey to play mario galaxy can someone please explain the difference and what should i do first and how would i know what update i have already i got mine about a month ago.Thank you

the 1.9b is the latest firmware for the wiikey itself. it changes the actual information stored on your modchip.

the config discs are different, and are for changing "what the chip does" (region bypass, GC audio fixes, etc).

the 1.9g update is a new firmware, specifically designed to make SMG work (1.9g, G for GALAXY, get it?). 1.9g is still considered beta, but if you really need to play SMG then it's your only option. I myself am using my original bought copy of SMG, so have held off on the 1.9g until it's officially deemed stable and not beta by wiikey.cn themselves.

Is that true that 1.9g have a lot of problems such as, a lot of older games (backup) cannot play. Is 1.9g solved - error 001 unauthorized device. I want to confirm before upgrade to 1.9g
