i know this sounds like a n00b question and all but i need some help connecting to the internet. i have a LAN cable with high internet speed, on XP all i had to do to connect was connect via msn search and it would detect it automatically, or go through the whole process. Now i got Vista, i go to set up internet but it automatically thinks i want a wireless connection, i dont even have the device for a wireless connection all i have is the LAN cable ...
when i tell it i have LAN it asks for a password and username... for the modem. we never recieved a password and username, XP never requested it and yet again, i dont want wireless.
what do i do?
