im not a newbie at this but i havent done it in a while so i dont really remember. I have an original halo 3 game, and im using xbox backup creator to read on my harddrive, i used imgburn to write it on the dvd dl disc, but i end up with write error at the end,,, any suggestions, where is my mistake, i made sure i made the .dvd file and used it, thanks i would appreiate any help
what brand of DVD do you use? The process itself is pretty simple and hard to mess up. So it may just be that your using cheap media that your DVD burner is having a problem with.
and when you say you are making the image from the original, are you using one of the flashed Samsung drives in your PC or some other method?
yea im using the flashed drive with kreon firmware v .08, im using ridita dl dvd's. Before i was using verbitam dl dvd's and it was working fine. But the other day i made a copy of a backup using nero with the same ridita dl dvd?
Let me just get it straight, i just use xbox backup creator v2.6 to make image, then i use imgburn v2.3 to write the image using the .dvd file. What dvd's do u recommend? verbitam?
Verbatim is all i have ever used and they have worked every time. So those are all i can really reccomend. Once i find one that works all the time i stick with it.
And yes, the process you listed is the same as i would use. I use 6X max DVD's and set the write speed at 4X (even though it will usually varry between 2.4X and like 3.8X anyway)
