Things are goinga lot better on the burning frontier thanks to all who've helped me on this forum. Actually using the programmes and gaining some hands on experience can't be faulted either HOWEVER ...during a recent burn of the Hulk using dvdexpress it -the copy - plays well on my standalone but not on my son's. The "tag next to the F:\ drive which is my dvd wriet has a blue triangle and "i" in it - also an Interactual programme wants to load presumably from the disk. Will dvd region free overcome this as I believe Interactual is a industry anti-copying tool.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but I got the feeling INteractual is probably created all sorts of heinous registry entries. cRAFTY BUGGERS

Hectar, I don't think you have a region problem. Interactual Player is usually imbedded onto store bought DVD movies. It is a software player that automatically tried to install on to computers when you play the dvd. It thinks you don't have a player software so it tried to install. I am told it could interfere with Dvd Xcopy express if it gets installed on your computer before you backup. As soon as it tries to start an install, you should cancel it. This might be your problem and I don't think you can get rid of it from the backup copy. Jerry
