Hey, I am new to the xbox hacking scene and i have a few questions about backing up my games. I recently purchased a modded xbox 360, but it wont get online. How can i fix that?

Also, can you give me a good link to purchase that samsung drive that reads the xbox 360 discs?

Also, ABout the burning process, i own a sony dvd drive that can burn dual layer dvds, but im not too sure about the bit setting. Do i have to purchase another dvd drive to burn the dvd's still?

1. how can you get online, well it depends if the console was banned. If it was you will never get online with it.
If it was not banned then you need an Xbox Live Gold account.

2. The drives are SH-D162C for an IDE connection and SH-D163A for an SATA connection and both should be flashed with Kreon firmware. Just search Ebay for the model number you need and you will find them.

3. Not sure about yours but Sony drives are normally made by other companies, so you will have to look up your model number to see what it could be. They are just slapped with the Sony name and sold as Sony burners when they are actually made by companies like BenQ and Lite-On. Mine was a Lite-On version and did not booktype. Luckily it went dead on me in two years and i replaced it with a BenQ DW1655 which uses Q-Suite 2.0 and automatically booktypes the media after i set it one time.
